This cereal mixture combines three healthy cereal choices (100% whole wheat, oatmeal, and bran) and adds raisons (a good source of fibre and a natural sweetener), almonds (a source of healthy fats) and a bit of cinammon for a tasty alternative to boring commercially available unsweetened (or low sugar) cereals. I find it tasty enough - especially when topped with yogurt - to eat every morning. Ingredients:
Add all the ingredients together in a large zip-lock bag and mix well. Keep refrigerated (due to the fat in the almonds). Serve 1/3 to 2/3 cups with skim milk and your favourite low-fat yogurt. |
