Ingredients:
  • 2 cups rolled oats (3 minute or large flakes)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice (or try mixture of lemon juice and orange juice)
  • 1/3 cup 18% cream (or 10% cream)
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 small apple, peeled and grated
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh (or fresh frozen) fruit
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream, whipped
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
Directions:

In a large bowl combine oats, water, lemon juice, cream and sugar. Stir in the apple pieces. Slice fruit (if necessary) and add to the mixture. Stir in the whipped cream and yogurt.

Makes 4 servings (2-3 if main course).
